A SIMPLE AND ELEGANT SOLUTION TO THE PELOSI QUESTION

DEMOCRATS THERE IS A SIMPLE AND GRACEFUL AND GLORIOUS SOLUTION TO THE PELOSI PROBLEM The Democrats and Nancy Pelosi need to get together to end her reign without a fight and with dignity and justice for all. Pelosi has been a major asset and done wonderful things for the Democratic Party . She deserves to be allowed to retire with dignity and honor . The new generation needs to allow that to happen .More than allow they need to orchestrate it and celebrate it . Her sins against the progressive democratic movement are many and varied and costly to Democracy but they are in the past and cannot be erased by being nasty to her . Indeed, they are generally shared by the Democratic establishment that lost sight of the ball and conspired against Bernie in 2016 . Have some class and don’t be tacky. Pelosi is 78 years old and , even in her imagination , cannot be thought of as the future of the party . She will be 80 when her current term as representative ends. Enough is enough Nancy , take it and leave gracefully THERE IS A SOLUTION THAT I THINK FITS THE AKWARD SITUATION Re-elect her Speaker by acclamation and thunderous applause to a position she deserves . Have her accept with grace and indicate that she is happy to lead into a new era but that the torch needs to be passed soon . Fast Forward to the State of Union , make Trump acknowledge her as Madam Speaker and lets all have a good laugh . It is hard to imagine that he can , even with a teleprompter , do it with grace that George W managed . It will be another chance for him to show his vitriol fueled contempt for Democracy . If it turns out that he can be graceful – so much the better .In that case, we should encourage him and who knows maybe there can be healing .The country certainly needs it and it would be churlish of us to reject it. Then Nancy to finish the process AND THIS IS IMPORTANT , you offer your resignation to be affected whenever the party has had time to consider who they want to lead the future . That allows Ms. Pelosi to retire with dignity and allows the Democratic Party to find someone with talent and panache to fill her shoes .
